Reminder: Hunter reports are due Jan 31

Hunter reports are due!
Hunter reports are required for each deer, elk, bear, cougar, and turkey tag, as well as for each special hunt permit awarded. Reports are required for tagholders regardless of whether you hunted.

You must submit your report before Jan. 31, 2021, to avoid a $10 administrative fee when you purchase your 2021/2022 license. If your special permit allows you to hunt beyond Jan. 31, 2021, your hunter report is due within 10 days of the close of that season. Cougar tag reports are due by March 31, 2021, but there is no administrative fee associated with this reporting requirement.

Hunters who report their activity by Jan. 10 will be entered automatically into a drawing for a special incentive permit. The nine special permits include two any elk permits for Western Washington, two any elk permits for Eastern Washington, and five statewide any deer permits. These tags are issued for an additional animal in the 2021-2022 season. If your special permit hunting season extends beyond Jan. 31, you will be included in the incentive drawing if you make a report within 10 days of the close of that season. The incentive drawing is usually held in April.

We understand that you may have already attempted to report, but our most recent records indicate that you have not reported on at least one of your tags and/or permits. Please disregard this notice if you have already completed your hunting reports.

You can complete your hunter reporting online at fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/#/login. You will need the following:

– Your WILD ID number
– The game management unit(s) you hunted
– The number of days you hunted for each tag and special hunt permit

The WDFW automated telephone system for hunter reports is no longer active. Thank you for your patience during this transition.

You should record and file your confirmation number for EACH report.

Reports are not accepted by mail or email. Please do not send in your transport tags.
